I have rewritten my Tempest in 400 Characters for this response to imaginary garden with real toads Flash 55 PLUS
Life with Prospero,
Surrounded by sea,
Since I was three,
It was a dream,
Then a nightmare
At the hands
Of Caliban.
Stormy waves,
Turbulent heart,
When father by his art
Put the ocean in a roar,
Brought a creature so divine,
He stopped time;
In an equal game of chess,
Made me his princess.

Lovely poem–it perfectly captures Miranda.

The Tempest is one of my favourite Shakespeare plays and Miranda one of my favourite characters. I like the way she gently defies her father.

We saw The Tempest performed outdoors at a winery last summer. It was sort of a bare bones version, but still impressive. (Plus, a summer night, wine, and pizza. 🙂

Awww! I felt like clapping when I got to the end. Such an excellent Miranda-eyed view of the tale.

This is lovely, I particularly like the ending “He stopped time;
In an equal game of chess,
Made me his princess.”

Oh nicely done! I enjoyed this take on the Willie Shakes classic. “The Tempest” is on of my favorites and you’ve done Miranda just.
