Leaving behind
The monachopsis of school,
As teacher and pupil,
I come awake
To space
In which to breathe;
No more needless
Compulsion to impress.
I nuzzle the freedom
Of the poetic macrocosm,
Reveal monuments
To philosophy
And history,
Lacerating the page
With words,
Lines and rhymes.
