branches and hedges
tinkle with icicle drips
each drop a rainbow
a tiny microcosm
light, shadow and reflection

My response to Carpe Diem honors Jane Reichhold (1937-2017) D. a rainbow bridge
In today’s episode of our special theme week, we have a series of tanka from Jane’s collection, A Gift of Tanka, as inspiration:
desert leaving
one of my dream souls
in the lizard
patterns of his back
passport to change
waterfall
torn to ribbons
bright mist
this body someday too
a rainbow bridge
high-tide beach
blue into the clear sky
the openness
for all things to become
the rush of another wave
free to fly
the ocean flows
into a cloud
the spirit released
expands in whiteness

Thank you, Dorna. Sorry I’m only just responding to your kind comments, but we had a powercut from five o’clock yesterday afternoon until this morning. I’m really enjoying my cup of blackberry tea!

No worries, ever. Happy to know that you have your power restored. Here in Michigan it seems like days before we ever get fully restored to full power after any outages here. (@–>–)
