Tongue of Lucifer (Rudi van de Wint)
My response to Carpe Diem #1235 Tongue of Lucifer
Chevrefeuille’s latest prompt in the Modern Art Month is a sculpture on one of the dikes near to where he lives: it’s ‘Tongue of Lucifer’ by the Dutch artist Rudi van de Wint, and has been the topic of much conversation.
So Stunningly Awesome! 😎😎😎

A beautiful haiku… about a giant… green… suppository. Your haiku is well crafted; don’t take me wrong there.

You made me chuckle, Charley, and I had to look at the image again. I’ve never seen a suppository that shape – but then I haven’t come across many of them! All I saw was one of those huge jelly sweet tongues they use to sell in the sweet shop, along with lips made out of jelly. The lips were fruity and the tongues were tangy. 🙂

I remember those! I just went with my gut reaction when I saw that image. That doesn’t always serve me well!

Yummy. And I’m a sucker for marshmallow fluff. 🙂

Excellent haiku Kim. I haven’t looked at the “tongue of Lucifer” in the way you have done here. Chapeau!
