Words are silent until
they’re sung or spoken;
secrets and promises
waiting to be broken.
Words in CAPITALS
are silent screams;
words in clouds
are hopes and dreams;
emboldened words
are emphasised,
important words
italicised –
but all remain silent until
they are vocalised.

Wow! The rhyme works here like magic. So lovely to read aloud. I also love that ‘hope & dream’ line.

Excellent job rhyming, and I love the idea that written words are incomplete.

Indeed, that is the purposeof words, to be spoken… Hence the inept attempts of punctuation and font distinctions to try and capture that shades of meaning of the spoken word! Lovely!
