When I was little, my grandparents had a very small garden: a patch of grass surrounded by flowers, crowded together in their flowerbeds. But my favourite flowers were daisies. Nanny taught me to slit the stalk with my fingernail and thread the daisies into a chain.

My response to Carpe Diem #1412 Daisies (extreme haibun)
In today’s episode of a month of haibun, the prompt is ‘daisies’ and we are invited to create an extreme haibun with a maximum of 55 words including the haiku or tanka.
Delightful I remember making daisy chains. Thank you for reminding me.

Awesome haibun Kim. It’s amazing to read sweet memories in all of the posts for this prompt. It feels like a subconscious connection between our participants.
