Every time you fall
find a feather,
gather them together
until you have your wings,
until the wind sings
in your ears
and you have lost your fears.

My response to Imaginary Garden with Real Toads NaPoWriMo: Poets of April
Today Susie offers inspiration from poets born in April, with quotations from William Jay Smith, William Shakespeare, Carolyn Forche, Etheridge Knight and Annie Dillard. She wants us to let these quotes lead to poetry. We can choose any form, or no form at all. She says we can also draw inspiration from the images she used with them and includes the license information from Pexels which applies to each image, which has a CC0 License and is free for personal and commercial use with no attribution required.
Soo beautiful!💞 Its like they say ‘Wings are not only for birds; they are also for minds.’💞

A poem perfectly made! And of course I love what it says. (I hadn’t heard that, about the feathers … but, of course.)
