My response to Carpe Diem #1434 Cusco … first “contact” with the Inca Empire
On our train journey into the high mountains of the Andes, today we are visiting Cusco, the former capital and centre of the Inca Empire. Cusco is a city in south-eastern Peru, near the Urubamba Valley of the Andes mountain range.
