My response to Carpe Diem #1633 Wedding
In today’s episode of ‘A New Route Leaving Kumano Kodo’ we have another modern kigo for spring, taken from A Dictionary of Haiku: ‘wedding’.
We’ve been given a couple of examples of haiku by Jane Reichhold on the theme:
rehearsing vows
in the middle of the night
frogs
honeymooners
boats in the harbor
anchored together
Jane Reichhold
I’ve taken a haiku which was part of a troiku I wrote for Carpe Diem last July; I’ve reworked it slightly to make it more up-to-date – and April in England is notorious for its showers.
