far, far away–
burgeoning trees

my native town
smaller than I remember
fading memories

far, far away
summer lasts forever
drenched in peach juice

burgeoning trees
gentle breeze rustles petals
scenting my dreams

My response to Carpe Diem #1673 Troiku Month (2) my native town

In the second episode of June, during which we are experimenting with Troiku, we have a haiku by a free-style haiku poet, Santoka Taneda, from which to create Troiku.
