I’m not sure if this is a haiku or a senryu.

Either Haiku or Senyru (or both)….
Pleasant and appropriate. 🙂

I would say haiku because it evokes a season. This is so true and so appropriate, although the leaves around here are taking their time, waiting for frost to come and cause them to change color.

I do love this… to me it’s a haiku, having the season in there… the poetry in autumn colors are held by the boughs-

Slightly more haiku than senryu perhaps; certainly a short poem, and so apt.

You conjured an image for me of grabbing little pieces of magic from the trees and making them manifest on the page. Wonderful.
