In blades of grass and leaves I feel
the ebb and flow of chlorophyll,
everything is soaked in bliss,
fixed green by photosynthesis.
Mother Nature welcomes June,
she lights the fuse to start the fun
with golden bursts of dandelions
celebrating in the sun.

My response to dVerse poets Pub Quadrille: Oh, we’re in a fix
De is our host this Monday and she’s asking us to fix it! The word has three letters, while the poem has 44 words.
How beautiful, Kim. I needed this sunny slice of nature today. Thank you.

Sadly, when I went for my daily walk around the football pitch at the weekend, all the daisies, buttercups and dandelions had been mown away – they are preparing for matches already and England has only just started easing out of the lockdown! Thankfully, we have some in our wild garden!

The dandelions are out. Today, I was tempted to make a wish and blow the fluffy seeds in hopes new dreams would take root.

It’s not six o’clock in the morning and I’m inhaling honeysuckle, watching the sun sparkle off dewy grass blades and looking out for dandelions creeping about!

I like the uniqueness of “the ebb and flow of chlorophyll”. Just went for a walk and our lawns all look the same after a couple rainy days, there are dandelions in abundance. I don’t think of them as a weed like some do. They are too beautiful.

Thank you, Mish. The man came to mow the football pitch and it doesn’t look like a meadow at the moment…. dandelions and daises are tenacious!
