I can see clearly

My new glasses have changed my eyesight! I can see clearly without straining and the frame fits perfectly; no more headaches, no more specs slipping down my nose and having to be pushed back up every few minutes. They look good too. While I was in Norwich, I managed to find an outfit for my daughter Ellen’s wedding next year, so the trip was successful.

There are two interesting competitions on the Writers On-line website: the annual Carve Magazine Blog Contest, for which the theme is ‘Tips for Writers’, which is free to enter and has no word count limit; and a creative writing competition called ‘The Lies We Tell Ourselves’, from Liquorice Fish Books, which is for prose, poetry or a hybrid of the two; selected writers may be chosen to work further with Liquorice Fish; there is a 2,000 word count limit and it costs £3 for one entry or £10 for four. I think I might enter both competitions. Time to get writing.
