Exploded Atom

Do not taint the sweetness

Of the love I have for you

By doubting it,

For it is wild and natural,

Powerful in its purity,

And it’s for you.

Once it was innocent

And delicate as a flower

In its youth,

But now it has exploded

Like an atom, so sudden,

But it’s true.

So have faith in my words

And accept these feelings

With an open heart,

For, though this love is strong,

I am fragile and quite likely

To fall apart

If ever you should doubt
