Looking forward to Chatterbooks

Saturday morning… I’m looking forward to meeting up with some ex-pupils and some new members at the monthly Chatterbooks session at the local library. It’s a very chatty little group; they enjoy reading and talking about books. This month the theme is spies and thrillers. I’ve planned a few activities and, thanks to our Community Librarian, I have some spy pens as prizes. Last month I asked them to come in disguise, so I can’t wait to see how many dodgy moustaches will be in the children’s section this morning! After the session I hope to discuss The Haunted Tide with some of the older ones, to get some insight into teenage romanticism – I’m sure it still exists, otherwise they wouldn’t be reading books like Twilight and The Hunger Games.
