Trapped inside a poet

Is a world of wit

Populated with words

Surrounded by a celestial sphere

Of imagination

And creation

This realm of reason

Orbits a solar soul

Sparkling with symbols

Surrounded by a dazzling aurora

Of illumination

And inspiration

The wordsmith’s inner globe

Explodes and shatters

Liberated from the poet’s frame

Of human flesh

And brittle bone

To be caught again

In the language of a poem
