writing in north norfolk 
Very good blog! Do you have any hints for
aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a
paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m
completely overwhelmed .. Any tips? Many thanks!

Thank you for visiting and for your kind comments. I find WordPress works well for me: it’s free; the step-by-step guide is really useful and easy to follow; and the WordPress community is supportive and fun. You can share your blog posts (which are archived) on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and Google, as well as publish short stories, poems, essays and articles separately on pages that are permanent, so visitors don’t have to read only blogs but can look at your writing at leisure. I chose a free design (there are many to choose from) and customised it with my own image, chose a colour scheme and fonts, etc. If you get stuck there are lots of places where you can find help, including some great blogs from other bloggers on WordPress. I hope that helps 🙂
