The gale came howling
Battering the coast with waves
An untamed wildness
Erupting in salty foam
From the rumbling heaving sea

I hope you’ve battened down the hatches in North Norfolk. G:)

Awesome Kim….it makes it sound like you were either in a ship (boat) or expecting a very, very storm.

I’m hoping to get to the beach for a walk and take some photographs, possibly of seals. Have a great Sunday😊

take some for me too I live where we have no beaches unless you travel down south to Padre Island or Mustang Island down by Corpus Christi or down by the Galveston. I live in Texas and it’s not much on water unless you live around the gulf somewhere. Have a great Sunday on the beach even if you are working a little…take a little time for yourself too.

Hi Kim, your poem paints a vivid picture of sea waves lashing against the coast.

Hi Somali! I was on the beach earlier today but it wasn’t a bit like that. It was calm and I was able to get up close to a colony of seals and take photos. The poem was written from memory – I’m glad you like it!
