My response to Carpe Diem Theme Week (6) 4 Tanka Splendor
In this episode Chèvrefeuille has shared with us a series of tanka written by Jane Reichhold, as well as her translation of one written by Fujiwara Shunzei; the challenge is to take inspiration from them and create our own. I have reworked a tanka I posted at the beginning of last September.
tenebrous garden
surrenders to dawn’s soft light
a bird’s silver song
ripples the liquid silence
sublimity of daybreak
