Breath of a Storm

brooding clouds gather
across the disc of the moon
dimming its silver
heated words in breath of storm
exhale a mellower glow

My response to Carpe Diem Tanka Splendor #14 storm

We are almost halfway through this Tanka Splendor month and the Ten Tanka Writing Techniques by Teika; Chèvrefeuille would like us to use all five Tanka Writing Techniques in our challenge for today, for which the prompt is ‘storm’. In every relationship there is time of ‘storm’ and Chèvrefeuille has shared a tanka in which he has used the prompt:

around the mansion
daisies standing strong together
after the storm

his hands create a new necklace
her soft virgin white neck
