Yin Yang by Joel Shapses
My response to Carpe Diem #1229 Yin & Yang
Chèvrefeuille welcomes us to the first episode of a new month of prompts with a new theme: modern art, which includes artistic work produced from the 1860s to the 1970s, and denotes the style and philosophy of the art produced during that era. The term is usually associated with art in which the traditions of the past have been thrown aside in a spirit of experimentation – as we are doing with haiku.
Our first prompt for this month is ‘Yin Yang’, a sculpture by Joel Shapses, an award-winning sculptor, whose works are prominently displayed in private collections and public venues throughout North and South America. He works with a mixture of neon, led lights, metal, fused glass and stone media.
Excellent! 🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀
