My response to Carpe Diem Weekend Meditation #42 Gaia Goddess of Earth (new feature)
This weekend we have a new feature for the Carpe Diem Weekend Meditation, called Gaia Goddess of Earth. Chèvrefeuille tells us that Gaia is another name for Mother Nature, who gives us inspiration to create haiku as they are meant to be: poems of nature.
The goal of this new feature is to capture the beauty, the strength, the complexity and the simplicity of nature in our haiku or tanka. He suggests we walk through our neighbourhoods to find the theme and share a photo of the source of our inspiration.
Nice
much love…

Thank you so much, Kristjaan! We are so lucky to live in an area with a beautiful coastline, the Norfolk Broads, woodland, countryside and not one but more then half a dozen country houses that are open to the public, including one of the Queen’s homes, Sandringham. One beautiful house is not far from us; it has the most amazing garden with two lakes, a glass house, an ice house, a formal garden and a herb garden, as well as a kind of Japanese garden with little bridges. There is currently a sculpture trail which you can follow and you can buy any of the pieces but they are very expensive! We went a couple of weekends ago and had a wonderful afternoon.
