My response to Carpe Diem #1494 Gagaku, the traditional music of the Japanese Court
We are still in Japan and exploring the oldest known traditional Japanese music, Gagaku, which is s court music, and includes songs, dances, and a mixture of other Asian music. Gagaku has two styles; these are instrumental music, kigaku, and vocal music, seigaku.
As I shall be a year older tomorrow, I’m posting as much as possible this evening.
