This is the third and final day of writing a poem related to a quote.
Quote # 3: If you’re tired of the silent night, Jesus, well then you yell it – Joni Mitchell
Yelling in the Silent Night
Silence sizzles in the dark
White noise against black shadows
Every creak making its mark
Echoes in the lonely night
Opening my mouth to yell
Tension building in my throat
Clamour to escape this hell
Weary of the silent night
Stumble blindly on the stair
Shadow black against white noise
Shivering in icy air
Scared of phantoms in the night
Find solace in words and rhyme
Black words against white paper
Scribbling until morning time
Yelling in the silent night
