I did what I said and read blogs. The newspaper hasn’t arrived yet so I couldn’t read that. But I did go back to some old ideas for short stories and found something that I wrote last year. It was only about 540 words long, but it was the germ of a story and I have started to develop it. It is different from my ghost stories and the ones based loosely on events in my own life or that of members of my family. It has an element of science fiction, a genre I love to read but have never attempted myself. I don’t know if it’s the story I want to submit yet, so you might see it pop up here before long.
