A day off from poetry and stories…

to help my daughter with some wedding things. We have an appointment today for a wedding dress fitting for Ellen. We haven’t seen the dress since I paid the deposit in July, so it’s going to be exciting for both of us. I am also helping her with some ideas for writing her vows and a poem that she wants me to read at the wedding ceremony in May. There is plenty of time, but I won’t get to see her too often as she lives and works in London.

I might write a poem about the wedding dress tomorrow – we’ll see how it goes!

In the meantime, a photograph of Ellen about thirty years ago.
