Filling the vast Norfolk sky
Tearing asunder
With their bittersweet quaver
An unseen seasonal seam

I sometimes think of geese sewing the clouds together. Your vision was exactly the opposite. Interesting.
On a side note, I visit a site I think you might enjoy (based on your bio). It’s authored by a couple in your own neck of the woods (Cley), a German ex-pat and a Norwegian ex-pat. Photography and philosophy, among other topics. https://toffeefee.wordpress.com/2014/08/04/cley-walk/

Thank you for the link – I have had a look and am now following toffefee! I rarely get the chance to speak or write German these days, so I will make contact with them. Come to think of it, I don’t get to speak to people face to face very much anyway. Writing can be quite a lonely occupation, especially when you stop writing and there is silence in your head as well as in the room. I often turn on the radio just for company.
