the empty frames
tangled and forgotten
in a dusty drawer
no lenses to clarify
the shadowy blur
sightless and useless
bent and shapeless
without a face
to hold them in place

Thank you. I was a bit lost after two days off writing over Christmas and couldn’t wait to get back to it. I got the idea from an article about a deserted cottage in Wales where everything is just as it was left and nobody knows who it belonged to. A photographer took pictures of it and that’s where my image and inspiration came from.
