January Moon

The January moon

Will be a cold one

A new moon

A snow moon

Its waxing

A warning

Of frosty mornings

Energy renewed

In the winter sun

And the first signs

Of spring

A brief, simple post this morning as I have an early start and a day of training with the Norfolk Reading Project, in preparation for voluntary reading with children in local schools.  Tuesday will be similar, as I will be reading to Years and 2 from a local school in my role as a library volunteer, and then two school visits in my role as a GCSE examiner on Thursday and Friday. And some people were worried I’d be bored when I retired from teaching!
