A first attempt at an aubade

Sublimity of Daybreak

Dawn’s dove grey penumbrae

Are shattered by luminous rays

And lifted like a veil

Revealing

An early morning star

Orbiting

A crescent moon in silver seduction

Bubbling

Birdsong ripples the liquid silence

Celebrating

The sublimity of daybreak
