My response to imaginary garden with real toads Transforming with Nature’s Wonders – exploring the world of footprints
I follow the trail
Along the sea wall
Until it veers
Towards the sea
Past rocks
And pools
Seaweed
And shells
Intimate
Impressions
Of a stranger’s
Bare feet
Each toe
Defined
In the damp sand
Until salty waves
Fill the hollows
With shallow
Foam as ephemeral as

I love the way your poem trails down the page…words as footprints themselves and then the last steps to finish…wonderful and thank you for sharing!

What could be more intimate and ephemeral than footprints in the sand? And who hasn’t followed someone else’s prints along a deserted beach at one time or another? I enjoyed this walk! 🙂
