Really, really good. In fact quite special and makes me wonder if just a little more can be done with a tanka.

Thank you. I think the tanka is more flexible than the haiku – you can add just a little something more – although the haiku is more disciplined.

Very vivid image. I think they yugen comes from the contrast between still valleys and moving smoke.

I also think the yugen could come from the kettle adding steam to the clouds.
