Hi Kat! Thank you for your kind comments. I wrote the haiku first but I knew I had a photo of the silver birches at the bottom of our garden. I tampered around with it a bit to get the effect I wanted, though. I think I used the original photo to illustrate a poem I posted last October. 🙂
