Mango

My response to Carpe Diem Utabukuro #13

For my favourite haiku, I have chosen one by James Berry. I love the way he has personified the banana to convey how much he enjoys it.

Settled in the bowl

alone, banana lies there

cuddle-curved waiting.

For my own haiku, I have taken an old poem about a mango, a fruit I love, and condensed it:

Juicy and fleshy,

the colour of a sunset,

my mango romance.
