My response to Sue Vincent’s Thursday Photo Prompt – Liminal– #writephoto

The sea mounted to the welkin’s cheek
And brought a prince called Ferdinand,
Shipwrecked and lost on foreign sand,
Subject to Prospero’s command,
A spirit in Miranda’s eyes:
A thing divine.
Thoughts of Miranda made labour sweet;
She was created of every creature’s best
But saw in herself unworthiness.
In Prospero’s cave, they played at chess,
Miranda and the king’s son:
A brave new world.
