autumn’s earthy breath
holds promises of winter
and spring memories
spiralling leaves and petals
dance to a similar tune

My response to Carpe Diem #1050 blossoms
Today our prompt is blossoms and Jane Reichold wrote wonderful haiku with this modern kigo for spring, of which Chèvrefeuille gave us a few examples as inspiration:
knotted fragrance
on spring bare branches
blossoms
cloud blossoms
brush strokes between clusters
story-telling branch
silence
in the blind wind’s dance
blossoms
moonlight
among blossoming trees
a white parasol
silence
the blossoms
dance

One is lucky to enjoy the season’s Spring like feel at other times!
