meltwater trickles
patient droplets gathering
pregnant waterfall
thundering cascade
carving out rocks and boulders
waterfall sculpture
flash of silver scales
leaping up the waterfall
frenzy of salmon
eddies and whirlpools
wild dance of fall and river
passionate embrace

My response to Carpe Diem #1061 waterfall
Our prompt for today is waterfall and it is taken from the online version of Jane Reichold’s “A Dictionary of Haiku” on her personal website. Chèvrefeuille has given us examples of haiku by Jane to inspire us:
red rock waterfall
into emerald pools
cedar incense
water blackened rocks
falling with the waterfall
some of them
chipped rock
the shape of water
falling
white rim
on black rock light falling
with the water

Really vivid and passionate haiku, of salmon leaping and wild patterns of water – well done!
