We made samplers at junior school – I haven’t seen them being made in English schools for an awfully long time. What a shame old skills are disappearing.

I used to love embroidery at school. You don’t see it being taught these days.

I never had embroidery in school. I did 4-H club where I learned to sew. Then a sewing class in high school.
