For the tenth time this year, one of my poems has been published on-line by Visual Verse. It’s on page 34 of this month’s edition, Vol 4, Chapter 01, which is full of fantastic poetry and prose, all based on one unusual image. You can find it at http://visualverse.org/.
Many Congratulations.

Thank you, Xenia! I’m so grateful for the congrats. I just posted the manuscript of my novel, so fingers crossed! I’ll know by 5th December, so I’m going to write some poetry to keep my mind off it!

I haven’t really got going yet – I listen to infants reading every Monday and Friday morning and I didn’t get home until just before noon. I’m going to try a rewrite and then hopefully I’ll get back in my stride for the Quadrille over at dVerse Poets Pub tonight. But first I’m going to the rock and soul choir for the first time in a month – they’ve started a new song, so that should get me going!

As long as you enjoy it all, it will not feel like ‘work’. Have fun with the choir and I hope to swing by the Quadrille tomorrow :o)

Thank you so much! It’s taken a long time to finish. In fact, I started it about five years ago but teaching got in the way. I’ve had the last two years to complete it and was truly astonished when it was longlisted.

I apologise – in my previous comment I was referring to the novel I sent off today! I’ve been so dizzy trying to get everything done – yes, Visual Verse is a great place to submit poetry. It’s all ekphratic and the images they give as prompts are incredibly different and off the wall. It’s worth looking at the archives to see what kind of writing they publish and what kind of images they use – you might like to submit a poem…
