frostbitten landscape
exhales clouds of foggy breath
icicle music

My response to Carpe Diem #1110 Winter Breath by Adrian von Ziegler
Today we are being inspired by a composition from Adrian von Ziegler entitled ‘Winter Breath and a tanka from Chèvrefeuille’s personal weblog, which he posted as part of the recent Winter Retreat:
Ah! that silence
the first day of a new year
the wind of last year
plays with bare branches
nothing has changed

Hi Merril! Hope you’ve had a happy holiday and there’s not too much foggy breath where you are. I missed the opportunity for a fabulous foggy sunset photo yesterday, so I have to keep my wits about me this afternoon. 😊

Thanks Kim. The holiday has been a busy happy whirlwind–birthday, Christmas, and Hanukkah. It’s rainy and dreary though here–grey mist, no icicle music. 🙂
