On Our Way Home

My response to Carpe Diem #1283 On Our Way Home

Today we have a prompt from December 2015, ‘on our way home’, an episode inspired by a haibun by Matsuo Basho. In that (triple) episode, Chèvrefeuille mentioned another haiku poet and close friend of Basho, Kasugi Issho, and he has shared the following haiku:

mi tsukushita me wa shirgiku ni  modori keri

seen with my eyes
white chrysanthemums
again I saw them
