My response to Carpe Diem #1299 Snow on the Desert
This month CDHK is all about the beauty of quatrains created by Omar Khayyam, a 12th century Persian poet, The Rubaiyat. Today’s episode is called ‘Snow on the Desert’, taken from Quatrain XVI.
Kim – as part of my Advent Calender, I want to do a day of “stocking filler” haikus. Could I use this one? Also, there was a mistletoe one that you posted in October that I’d love to use?

Sarah, you’re more than welcome. I see you’re enjoying paper Daisies, too. 🙂

Thank you, Xenia, that’s so kind of you. I’m feeling a little better today although I seem to be up and down at the moment. I’m hoping to have another session with a counsellor soon – I’m just waiting for them to call me with a date.

A nice haiku Kim, in which one can sense the coming of spring. The light will return after the dark winter. Sending you hugs and prayers for your recovery.
