tail tipped with hoar frost
ring of russet fox breath hangs
sparkling in dawn light
sprigs of mistletoe
cosy kisses and cuddles
a roaring fireplace
seasonal poems
first snow against window panes
whisper of sleigh bells
Christmas tree baubles
a pile of brightly wrapped gifts
a child’s glowing smile

My response to Carpe Diem Weekend Meditation #11 Full Circle – Wintertime
In a new Carpe Diem weekend-meditation, our challenge is a ‘full circle’ with the theme of ‘wintertime’, in which the goal is to write (only) haiku with twelve given words in a clock-wise direction, resulting in four haiku. The words are:
- hoar frost
- breath
- morning light
- mistletoe
- cuddle
- fireplace
- poem
- first snow
- whisper
- christmastree
- gifts
- smile
Cheers! 🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀
