My daily response to Carpe Diem Summer Retreat 2018 Finding the Way
At Carpe Diem, it’s time again for the traditional seasonal retreat: a period of 30 days in which the goal is to write a daily haiku or tanka about a theme. In this year’s Summer Retreat the theme is ‘Finding the Way’.
A lovely haiku to go with the image Kim, those sculptures are wonderful! :o) xxx

Thank you so much Pat – I’m delighted you like it. I love this statue, and the little girl reading, but they are so expensive I could never afford them.

I can imagine they are rather pricey. Still, one can dream, but perhaps, it’s even better that they haven’t been sold, so more can enjoy them?

I think they’re keeping them all there for the duration of the exhibition. Apparently they are nearly all sold. I think it’s a brilliant idea and hope they do it again. I have a friend who is a sculptor who’d love somewhere to sell his work.

it’s a really cool idea – and a most perfect way to allow for people to enjoy art works … and to showcase all kinds of talents …. I love it when spaces do this kind of “living” galleries 🙂
