Finding the Way Day 11

My daily response to Carpe Diem Summer Retreat 2018 Finding the Way

At Carpe Diem, it’s time again for the traditional seasonal retreat: a period of 30 days in which the goal is to write a daily haiku or tanka about a theme. In this year’s Summer Retreat the theme is ‘Finding the Way’.

  1. oh how unusual a pairing, but fascinating (I mean the garden image and sculpture!) … love the complimentary and competing textures … both in the image and the poem … wonderful contemplation of the elements of ground and water 🙂

    1. Thanks Pat 🙂 There were quite a few of these ‘ammonites’ scattered on the sculpture trail, all different sizes. I liked this one because it reminded me of the sea.
