grateful arms reach out
sweet rain quenches thirsty tongues
forget umbrellas

My response to Carpe Diem #1484 pouring rain
Chèvrefeuille says that they are having tropical weather in The Netherlands, with temperatures rising to almost 40 degrees Celsius. We have similar temperatures here in the UK and we need some rain too! Today’s image is entitled ‘Pouting Rain’.
Forget the umbrellas indeed. We are also in serious drought in Oz ( the worst one for 100 years) and we are in the middle of winter. The weather is like a very warm Spring..beautiful but very bad for the farmers.Seems the entire world needs rain.We should get Kristjaan to do some more rain dancing:)

great last line – I love the strength of it – and the unexpectedness of it! LOL – had me chuckling, given the haiku and the image pairing!

Thanks Pat. I went back to have another look and couldn’t stifle a giggle!

LOL – just sitting here, thinking on the line – and I’m laughing …. 😂
you’ve somehow captured something so “cheeky” … it’s subtle …. and well …. roflmbo ….

Not sure what roflmbo means but it sounds good!

roflmbo = rolling on floor laughing my butt off
roflmao = same but “ass”
it’s a step further than laughing out loud (LOL)

I was glad that we had rain finally … and I really had forgotten my umbrella, and … well my clothes were soaking wet and I had to get them out … so maybe my naked raindance will bring some rain too 🙂
