My response to Carpe Diem #1495 Kashmiri music, the music of Kashmir India
Today we will are still in Asia and we are visiting and exploring the folk music of Kashmir in India. Chèvrefeuille tells us that the music composed by ethnic Kashmiris has a wide range of musical influences; due to Kashmir’s close proximity to Central Asia, Eastern Asia and Southern Asia, a unique blend of music, encompassing the music of the three regions. It also had a huge influence on rock music, from the Beatles to Led Zeppelin.
