My response to Carpe Diem #1537 Decay
This month at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai, we are challenged with classical and non-classical kigo (seasonwords) for autumn, haiku about autumn by classical haiku poets like Basho and Chiyo-Ni and many others.
Today our challenge is a modern kigo (season word) taken from Jane Reichhold’s Dictionary of Haiku: decay, and we have been given a number of examples.
Oh! I love this and I especially love the word sapid Kim!
