how blue is the lake
full of sparkling stars and snow
deepest amazement

My response to Carpe Diem #1560 Crater Lake National Park Oregon …
Today we are making our first stop in America, at the Crater Lake National Park. Chèvrefeuille tells us that Native Americans witnessed the formation of this lake 7,700 years ago, when a violent eruption triggered the collapse of a tall peak. It’s the deepest blue water lake in the USA, fed by rain and snow, and perhaps the most pristine on earth. He has shared images to awaken our muses.
