My response to Carpe Diem #1663 Tan Renga Challenge Month May 2019 (10) snap of an icicle
In today’s episode, we are creating Tan Renga with one of my own haiku – I’m blushing with a mixture of pleasure and embarrassment. Thank you Chèvrefeuille!
Lovely, Kim.

I do love the song of happy birds in the morning. Sometimes when I was working nights and they were still singing away when I got home, I have to admit that my thought was “shut up, you idiots!”
That being said, there are fewer and fewer birds here in the city. I rarely hear them sing anymore.

We’re so lucky to live in the countryside, where there are so many birds and so many different species. Morning birdsong is wonderful!
